MLB: Eric Sogard in the sights of the Cubs?

The Chicago Cubs currently have a two-game lead in the Centrale de la Nationale, but are still trying to improve to a few key positions.

According to The Athletic, the Cubs sent scouts to Comerica Park this past weekend to watch Detroit Tigers outfielder Nick Castellanos during their duel with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Cubs were also gathering information on Blue Jays player Eric Sogard, who could fill a spot at both the front and the outfield.

Sogard played 69 games in his first season with the Jays. He has 10 home runs and 30 RBIs. He hits for, 305 with a goal average of .369.
